The Roop is a Lithuanian pop-rock band from Vilnius. It consists of singer and keyboardist Vaidotas Valiukevičius, drummer Robertas Baranauskas and guitarist Mantas Banišauskas. They were supposed to represent Lithuania at ESC 2020 in Rotterdam, which had to be cancelled on 03/18/20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they were able to take first place in the replacement event hosted by the First German Television. After winning the Lithuanian preliminary again at Pabandom iš Naujo 2021, they are allowed to represent their country at the ESC 2021.

The Roop ist eine litauische Pop-Rock-Band aus Vilnius. Sie besteht aus dem Sänger und Keyboarder Vaidotas Valiukevičius, dem Schlagzeuger Robertas Baranauskas und dem Gitarristen Mantas Banišauskas. Sie sollten Litauen beim ESC 2020 in Rotterdam vertreten, der am 18.03.20 aufgrund der COVID-19-Pandemie abgesagt werden musste. Jedoch konnten sie in der Ersatzveranstaltung des Ersten Deutschen Fernsehens den ersten Platz belegen. Nachdem sie bei Pabandom iš Naujo 2021 erneut den litauischen Vorentscheid gewannen, dürfen sie ihr Land 2021 am ESC vertreten.

Diese einzige Nation hat drei verschiedene Zeitzonen: Sydney im Südosten ist Perth im Westen zwei Stunden voraus. Es ist also nicht möglich, einfach loszufahren und "Australien zu sehen". Der Flug von einer Seite zur anderen beträgt 2.000 Meilen und dauert über dreieinhalb Stunden; ein Flug von Melbourne im äußersten Süden nach Darwin im tropischen Norden dauert ebenfalls etwa dreieinhalb Stunden.
